General Introduction A hydrosoluble cationic preservative which can be used for the preservation of all personal care products. It is active against a wide spectrum of microorganisms including bacteria,fungi and yeasts. Although it has broad spectrum anti-microbial activity,BI HDI liquid is particularly effective as a fungicide in the control of yeast and moulds. It is generally recommended to be used in combination with other preservatives with enhanced bactericidal properties like Phenoxyethanol to boost overall anti-microbial activity. It may be used in a wide variety of rinse off and leave on applications. BI HDI liquid is considered to be non-toxic and safe for use in personal care applications in normal and reasonably foreseeable conditions of use at recommended levels.
